  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Mix in the oil and sugar until combined.
  4. Crack in the eggs and mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for approximately 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool before slicing.

Notes

For best sweetness, use overripe bananas. You can optionally fold in chopped walnuts or pecans.
