- 1/2 cup Ginger root (cut into small pieces, peel on)
- 3 Lemons (juiced)
- 1 Orange (peeled)
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1/8 tsp Ground cayenne
- 1/2 cup Water (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the ginger thoroughly, slice it thinly into small pieces while keeping the peel on for added nutrients. Rinse well to remove any dirt or impurities.
- Add the sliced ginger, lemon juice, orange, turmeric powder, honey, and cayenne pepper into your food processor. Blend on high until the mixture is a smooth puree. If it’s too thick, feel free to add water to achieve your desired consistency.
- Line a colander with cheesecloth and place it over a bowl. Pour the ginger mixture into the cheesecloth and gently wring it to extract every flavorful drop. Pour the liquid into shot glasses and enjoy immediately or store in the refrigerator.
Notes
Adjust sweetness with more honey if you prefer a sweeter shot. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
