Ingredients
Scale
- 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond butter
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup vegan dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper for easy brownie release after baking.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth. Add almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract, thoroughly mixing until well combined.
- Add the cocoa powder, baking soda, and sea salt to the wet mixture. Stir until the batter is completely smooth. Gently fold in the vegan dark chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it into an even layer. Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes. The center should be set and a toothpick inserted should come out mostly clean. Let the brownies cool in the pan before slicing into squares and enjoying your delicious creation!
Notes
Use really ripe bananas for enhanced sweetness. Optionally, substitute almond butter with peanut butter for a different flavor.
