- 1 cup rolled oats
- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-2 tablespoons sweetener (maple syrup or agave, optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Combine 1 cup of rolled oats with 4 cups of water in your blender.
- Blend on high for about 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Strain the mixture through a nut milk bag or a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, any sweetener you desire, and a pinch of salt. Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate.
Notes
For a richer flavor, try experimenting with homemade vanilla extract or add a dash of cinnamon. Shake well before using as natural separation may occur.
