- 2 cups milk
- 1 tea bag chai tea
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-2 teaspoons sugar or sweetener (to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Pour the milk into a medium saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally to avoid scorching.
- When the milk is steaming, add the chai tea bag and steep for around five minutes, then remove the tea bag.
- Whisk in the vanilla extract, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves until well combined. Pour into a mug and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute milk with almond or oat milk. Use a whisk for a frothy finish.
