A delightful twist on a classic dessert featuring sliced apples and a crunchy oat topping, all without added sugar.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/3 cup sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the sliced apples with cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl, then spread them evenly in a greased baking dish.
  3. Mix together the oats, almond flour, sweetener, and a pinch of salt in another bowl.
  4. Pour the melted butter and vanilla into the oat mixture and stir until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the topping mixture over the apples in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a nut-free version, replace almond flour with coconut flour. Let the crisp cool before serving to help the topping firm up.
