- 4 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/3 cup sweetener
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the sliced apples with cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl, then spread them evenly in a greased baking dish.
- Mix together the oats, almond flour, sweetener, and a pinch of salt in another bowl.
- Pour the melted butter and vanilla into the oat mixture and stir until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the topping mixture over the apples in the baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a nut-free version, replace almond flour with coconut flour. Let the crisp cool before serving to help the topping firm up.
