- 250 g strawberries, fresh and sweet
- 600 ml water, for brewing the tea
- 4 tsp red rooibos tea, caffeine-free base
- 2 tbsp honey, natural sweetness
- 1/4 tsp vanilla seeds, genuine vanilla flavor
Instructions
- Start by bringing 600 ml of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Once boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 teaspoons of red rooibos tea. Cover the pot and let it steep for 10 minutes.
- After steeping, strain the tea into a large jug and allow it to cool at room temperature.
- While the tea is cooling, blend the strawberries in a blender until smooth. Once the tea has cooled, stir in 2 tablespoons of honey until fully dissolved. Then, gently mix in the strawberry puree along with 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla seeds.
- Serve over ice for a refreshing drink, optionally garnished with fresh strawberry slices.
Notes
Use ripe strawberries for best flavor. Cool the tea completely to avoid melting ice.
