Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 2 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mash your bananas until smooth in a large bowl.
  3. Add the peanut butter, coconut sugar, applesauce, almond milk, oats, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  5. Bake for 25-28 minutes or until the center is set but still soft.
  6. Cool for 30-60 minutes at room temperature, then refrigerate for 1 hour before slicing.

Notes

Chill bars before cutting for neater slices. Optionally swap almond milk for any dairy milk.
