- 2 cups baked oats
- 1 cup sweet applesauce
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup natural honey
- 1 tsp leavening powder
- 1/4 tsp fine salt
- 1/2 cup optional raisins
- 1/2 cup optional chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sweet applesauce, baked oats, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, natural honey, leavening powder, and fine salt. Stir until well combined.
- If desired, fold in optional raisins or chocolate chips to the mixture for added flavor and texture.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Don’t overmix the dough to keep cookies soft and chewy. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
