Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla bean paste (or extract)
- 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons Heavy cream (or plant-based cream)
- 2 tablespoons Milk (or plant-based milk)
- 1 tablespoon French toast syrup
- 2 tablespoons French toast syrup
- 6 ounces Milk (or plant-based milk)
- 2 ounces Espresso (2 shots brewed or instant)
- 2 tablespoons French toast cold foam
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the water, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Bring to a low boil, stirring occasionally for 5-6 minutes until it thickens. Remove from heat, whisk in butter, cinnamon, and vanilla, then let cool.
- For the cold foam, in a small jar, combine cream, milk, and syrup. Seal and shake vigorously for 1-2 minutes until thick and creamy. Keep cold.
- Fill a 12-ounce glass halfway with ice. Add 2 tablespoons of French toast syrup, then pour in the milk, followed by the cooled espresso. Top with prepared cold foam and garnish with extra cinnamon if desired.
Notes
You can use plant-based milks and creams for a dairy-free option. Try adding hazelnut or caramel syrup for variations.
