A refreshing summer beverage combining sweet peaches and aromatic black tea, perfect for gatherings or a relaxing afternoon.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 cups 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Water
  • 4 Black tea bags
  • 2 Ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 cup Sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Once boiling, remove it from the heat and add the black tea bags. Let steep for about 5 minutes until the tea is well-infused.
  2. After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the saucepan. Add 1/4 cup of sugar to the hot tea, stirring until it’s completely dissolved. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  3. While the tea cools, prepare the peach puree. In a blender, puree the sliced peaches until smooth. If you prefer a clearer drink, strain the puree through a fine sieve to extract the juice, removing any pulp. Mix the peach juice into the cooled tea.
  4. Serve the delicious peach iced tea over ice cubes. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. Substitute sugar with honey for natural sweetness.
