Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Whisk together the applesauce, honey or maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped apples and nuts if using.
- Transfer the batter into the greased cake pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Once baked, let it cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
