- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 cup streusel topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
- If using, fold in the nuts.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, 2 inches apart.
- If desired, sprinkle streusel topping over each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
