- 1 cup (130 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup + 2 tsp (90 ml) milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp (14 g) unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1–2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/2–1 tsp milk for glaze
- 1/4 tsp vanilla for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a loaf pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it lightly.
- Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
- Mix the milk and vanilla together in a separate bowl, then pour this mixture into the dry ingredients gradually.
- Roll the dough on a floured surface into a 10-inch log and cut it into 20 small pieces.
- Drizzle melted butter over the cut pieces and toss gently to coat them.
- Combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl and pour it over the buttered dough pieces, tossing to coat.
- Arrange the coated pieces in the prepared loaf pan, snug but not overcrowded.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes or until lightly golden and fluffy.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, a splash of milk, and vanilla extract until drizzle-friendly.
- Drizzle the glaze over the bites and serve warm.
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute dairy milk with almond or oat milk.
