- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Peach preserves
- 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup Powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon Sugar for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan to prevent sticking.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Mix the melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, then fold in the peach preserves.
- Fill each cavity of the donut pan with the batter and bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Fill the cooled donuts with the cream cheese mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before serving.
Notes
Don’t overmix the batter for tender donuts. Use Greek yogurt instead of buttermilk if preferred.
