Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan generously.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the applesauce, both types of sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until fully blended and smooth.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to your wet ingredients, stirring gently until no more flour streaks are visible.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
You can use unsweetened applesauce to reduce sugar. This recipe is versatile; experiment with nuts, dried fruits, or different oils for varied flavors.
