Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 pound Fresh strawberries (hulled)
  • 8 ounces Semisweet chocolate (chopped)
  • 1 cup Heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, then stir in the granulated sugar until combined.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before whisking in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, and gradually add it to the egg mixture.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the dish.
  7. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it just boils, then pour over the chopped chocolate in a bowl and stir until smooth to create the ganache.
  8. Dip hulled strawberries into the chocolate ganache and place them on a wire rack to set.
  9. Top the cooled brownies with chocolate-covered strawberries and drizzle any leftover ganache over them before serving.

Notes

Let brownies cool completely before adding strawberries. For a richer ganache, use dark chocolate.
