  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Vanilla Custard
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, then mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add in the dry ingredients and gently fold in the vanilla custard until just combined.
  5. Using a cookie scoop, portion the dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips with vegetable oil until smooth and drizzle over the cooled cookies.

Notes

If in a pinch, store-bought custard can be used as a substitute for homemade. Cookie bites can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week or frozen for longer storage.
