- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Vanilla Custard
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, then mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add in the dry ingredients and gently fold in the vanilla custard until just combined.
- Using a cookie scoop, portion the dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
- For the glaze, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips with vegetable oil until smooth and drizzle over the cooled cookies.
Notes
If in a pinch, store-bought custard can be used as a substitute for homemade. Cookie bites can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week or frozen for longer storage.
