Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon Dried culinary lavender
  • 1 cup Water (for lavender infusion)
  • 1 cup Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 4 cups Cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh blueberries and lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by boiling 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Once boiling, remove it from the heat.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of dried culinary lavender to the hot water and let it steep for about 15 minutes.
  3. After steeping, strain the lavender infusion through a fine mesh sieve and set aside to cool.
  4. Combine 1 cup of fresh blueberries with 1 cup of water in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the blueberries break down.
  5. Strain the blueberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing down to extract juice.
  6. In a large pitcher, combine the blueberry juice, lavender infusion, and 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add 1 cup of sugar and stir until dissolved.
  7. Pour in 4 cups of cold water, mix well, and adjust sweetness if desired.
  8. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  9. When ready to serve, pour over ice and garnish with fresh blueberries and lemon slices.

Notes

Let flavors meld for optimal taste. You can use honey instead of sugar for a healthier alternative.
