- 1 cup Fresh blueberries
- 1 tablespoon Dried culinary lavender
- 1 cup Water (for lavender infusion)
- 1 cup Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 4 cups Cold water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh blueberries and lemon slices (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by boiling 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Once boiling, remove it from the heat.
- Add 1 tablespoon of dried culinary lavender to the hot water and let it steep for about 15 minutes.
- After steeping, strain the lavender infusion through a fine mesh sieve and set aside to cool.
- Combine 1 cup of fresh blueberries with 1 cup of water in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the blueberries break down.
- Strain the blueberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing down to extract juice.
- In a large pitcher, combine the blueberry juice, lavender infusion, and 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add 1 cup of sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Pour in 4 cups of cold water, mix well, and adjust sweetness if desired.
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- When ready to serve, pour over ice and garnish with fresh blueberries and lemon slices.
Notes
Let flavors meld for optimal taste. You can use honey instead of sugar for a healthier alternative.
